Hosting FAQ: Setting Up an iPhone With Hosting 2.0

If you are using an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch running iOS version 4 or 5, you can use our Configure My iOS Device page to automatically configure your iOS device for our servers.

How do I set up an iPhone with Your Hosting 2.0 Services?

Follow the steps below:

1) Press the Home Button to go to the main screen, then hit the "Settings" icon

2) Tap on "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"

3) Tap on "Add Account"

4) Tap on "Exchange"

5) Insert the basic email information as below, replacing your email address for "user@domain.com" - Note that the Domain should be left blank.

6) On the next screen, enter the server name, using "pop.bostonmacs.com"

7) Select the services. Be very careful here, as choosing incorrect services to sync with our server may result in lost data on the iPhone. Normally, most users will want to sync Mail, and optionally Calendars. Note that on older versions of iOS, selecting "On" for either Contacts or Calendars may erase any previous information that you have stored on the iPhone for these applications. If you get a warning to this effect, please be careful to allow deletion of data only after you are sure that you do not need any contacts or calendar information already on your phone.

8) If you get a message saying "Unable to Verify Certificate," please tap on "Accept"
