Well, I figure that if I'm going to start posting at a site, a basic introduction is probably in order.

My name is W. "Ian" Blanton, and I am, at the time of this writing, the "Consulting Group Director" *Cue the Trumpets!* here at Tech Superpowers, which means that I'm in charge of the "Onsite Consultants", the folks who show up at your home or business and try to help you with your problems, fix your systems and recommend new spiffy stuff that might help you do your job faster/better/easier.

My career with computers has spanned from VAX mainframes to the newest Mac systems, covering something like...18 years of Mac experience...a fact which kind of startles me writing it down like that, since I was using other systems than Macs before that, so I'll just keep how long I've been using computer a secret, for now. *grin*

My background covers a (short) liberal arts career as well as a period working for the USAF, so you could say that I've covered the gamut of working environments.

I started with Tech Superpowers back in 1999, and have been busy helping fix, improve and "hot rod" systems ever since.
