Along with our new website comes a Blog about the people who work here at Tech Superpowers, or TSP as we fondly refer to it by. I am excited about this addition, as I know just how smart, interesting and dedicated my fellow coworkers are about their jobs and their hobbies, and I think you all will soon agree. I am definitely not as Mac savvy as any of the other contributor’s to this Blog are (I studied English, Literature, Fine Arts, and Business instead), however if you’re like me (you get the basics of computers and work with one- or more- on a daily basis), perhaps my travel through learning about Macs will be of some interest. I also am new to the area so I may write a bit on my adventures discovering a new city, and the trials and rewards that come from being a struggling artist in a new town. Enjoy all the varieties that you’ll find here!
I feel almost as new as this website, as I have only been a part of the TSP family for about 6 months now. I just graduated Phi Theta Kappa with honors from Truckee Meadows Community College out in Reno, Nevada with my Associate’s Degrees in Business and Fine Arts. I really enjoyed the whole college experience, and feel that was the time in my life where I really became my own. After graduation I traveled around the US to visit friends and family, and to see places I’ve never been (all low-key, on a college student’s budget). I had an amazing trip with many learning experiences, some good and some not so much. During my travels I discovered that Boston was by far the place I liked best, due to the warm embrace I received from its citizens and due to all of its culture, history and visual appeal. I even used the Internet at TSP’s Internet Café my first night in town. Must have been some weird act of fate. Though that night I never thought that I’d be living in Boston and working at Tech Superpowers only 4 short months later. I was already moved to CA to attend UCLA, and New England winters are not thought of highly back home in Hawaii. However, after finishing up my vacation I decided to cross the country for a third time that summer and moved here. Within a month of moving here I was working as the Executive Assistant at Tech Superpowers, Inc. and looking into schools around the Boston area to continue my education. I think that brings us close to the present.
Anyways, what I am trying to say is that I love Boston, I love working at Tech Superpowers, and I am very excited about the learning and growing experiences to come while I am here. Talk to you all soon.
