I've been having fun with widgets lately, and threw a quick one together to count down the training and fundraising days until this boston2portland '08.

Not for nothin' the widgets are pretty interesting little tools, both for keeping information handy (I just found one that does live tracking on UPS etc and gives me a Growl notification when the shizzy arrives... heh. Secrets from my trackmasterFLASH alter ego) but they also are a really REALLY interesting little way to keep in front of a person's face, whether a rider, or a client.
Give me some feedback on this, and any ideas that you may have (whether you are TSP staff or a friend or client...) of a TSP widget that you think would just HAVE to live on your desktop. The next issue of TQO, from what we're talking, will have a little rundown on our favorite widgets and where to get them.

How about a widget we can enter a computer serial number into and get the model, RAM type, etc? Or even better - we enter the serial and get feedback from FMP on that computer's TSP history?

woah. I just found out, in doing a little research on this request, that you can find the S/N for your computer just by clicking About This Mac and the simply clicking the "Version number" thingy a couple of times. First gives you the build, then the S/N.
Now all you geeks can say "I knew that ..." :)
