On February 2nd, 2009, we discovered an issue with Outlook 2007 which causes our server to report an attempt to login with valid username and password as an invalid attempt. In some cases, we've had these errors result in users not able to send email due to anti-spam security restrictions on our server.
If you use Outlook 2007 to check email from our server, we recommend the following change in your email settings.
1) Under the Tools menu, click on "Account Settings..."
2) Click on your TSP Hosting Email account and hit the "Change..." button
3) Under "Logon Information" - change the "@" in your username to a "%"
4) Leave all other settings the same and hit "Next" and then "Finish".
This will not change anything else about his account - but it will address this error and should prevent you from having any problems in the future when sending email.
