1/27 at 1pm: UNOFFICIAL Apple Enthusiast Tweetup

01/27/2010 17:45 01/27/2010 20:00   Etc/GMT-5

RSVP here: http://superapple.eventbrite.com/

The Scenario

You probably know the inevitable scenario by now: an Apple Announcement is going on, and you stop virtually everything you're doing in order to obsessively refresh the four liveblogs you have open in different tabs. You wait for the latest images to be uploaded and wonder what "One more thing..." will lead to this time.

The Event

On January 27th at 12:45 (don't want to be late to the official start time!), join your fellow page-refresh-aholics for an Unofficial Apple Enthusiasts Tweetup at the Tech Superpowers Digital Lounge (@digilounge). While the announcement is going on, our lounge and computers are free for anyone to come and use!

Come in and use one of our speedy iMacs, or bring in your laptop and connect to our wifi. We'll be following along with all the major liveblogs, discussing releases as they happen, and watching Twitter updates on our Social Media Wall. Come on in and use the hashtag #superapple to help spread the word!

Computers and Gallery Wall

Cozy, cozy lounge and the Social Media Wall.

The Details

Tweet, Facebook, or blog your thoughts from the Digilounge about the new announcement. Will it be the fabled Apple Tablet? A new version of iLife? Or just some new DVD Themes? Who knows... but you know you want to be there for whatever Jobs dishes out to the waiting masses.

If something is available in stores right after the event (doubtful), there's even an Apple Store right around the corner for immediate gadget fun. Seriously, how awesome is that?

Help us out by Tweeting:

"I'm going to the #superapple event Jan 27th at #digilounge http://superapple.eventbrite.com"

NOTE: This event is not sponsored by Apple, and we will not have a live video broadcast of the event. Tech Superpowers is an Apple Specialist, but we have no prior or special knowledge of any hardware or software being released for this event. In fact, this event could be some lackey at Apple who talks about iDVD Themes for two hours, so be forewarned!
